About the Author
As Resident Fellow at EWI, John currently leads the Digital Safety & Citizenship program as part of the Worldwide Cybersecurity Initiative.
He is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Eirëne (www.eirene.com), where he is building for-profit social impact ventures by deploying long-term capital through a group of family offices and private investors.
John is combining entrepreneurship and philanthropy to drive radical change in education, sanitation, aging, games for good and media.
John holds a B.A. from Columbia University. He serves on a number of non-profit and for profit boards, including UNICEF, the Stan Lee Foundation, Sheba International, Fonderie 47 and award-winning film company Digital Domain.
He is the author of the book John Kluge: Stories, published by Columbia University Press and is currently producing a documentary feature-length film, "The Power of Peace," on disarmament and the futility of war in the 21st century, starring His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Columbia University professor Robert Thurman.
